
Transfer Cameron Williams Joins Kent State Men’s Basketball

KENT – Transfer forward Cameron Williams has joined Kent State Men's Basketball. The Cape Girardeau, Missouri native will join the Golden Flashes for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.
Williams comes to Kent State University from the University of Portland where he spent the 2025-2026 season. He appeared in 31 games making 28 starts averaging 23.9 minutes per game. Williams scored 330 points averaging 10.6 per game while racking up up 144 rebounds, 30 assists, 13 steals, seven blocks and 11 threes. He tallied a season high 25 points against Willamette University on Nov. 3 and another high of 12 rebounds at Pepperdine University on Jan. 14. Williams led the Pilots in scoring with 20 points against the Golden Flashes on Dec. 14, 2025, in Portland's win. Prior to Portland, Williams spent the 2024-2025 season at Trinity Valley CC where he won the NJCAA National Championship. He spent the 2023-2024 season at Moberly CC.
"I am extremely excited to add Cameron to our roster.", said coach Senderoff. "He brings competitive toughness, versatility and has a very high basketball IQ. He won a Juco National Championship two years ago and played this past year in a very good West Coast Conference. I can't wait to get Cam with us here this summer."
