EUGENE, Ore. – Kent State sophomore Kristen Jay placed 18th during women's javelin throw competition on Thursday evening at the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Jay opened with a mark of 161'-3" on her first attempt, which would be her best of three throws on the day. Her finish is the best by a Golden Flash in the event since Kim Hamilton placed fifth in 2009.
