PRIOR TO KENT STATE: A transfer from Tompkins Cortland Community College in New York and returns to northeast Ohio. He was a standout wrestler for Shaker Heights and a two-time captain. He placed 5th as a sophomore and 2nd as a junior at the state tournament. He won his third sectional championship during his senior season and was the top-ranked wrestler at 170 pounds prior to the canceled OHSAA tournament in 2020. His senior year, rose to 15th in the national ranking.
