Redshirted in 2009…played baseball (2007-08) and football (2006-07) for two years at Grand Valley State University, a Division II institution in Michigan…helped GVSU to a two-year record of 79-24 and a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships…went 6-0 in two seasons at GVSU with a 4.87 ERA…also a member of the football team, which went 13-0 in 2006 and won the Division II national championship…Grand Valley State went 11-1 in 2007 to claim the GLIAC title for the second-straight year…played four years of baseball at Springfield South under head coach Jeff Brown…went 9-1 from the mound for the Wildcats, including a 2.1 ERA his senior year…named second team All-Ohio his junior and senior seasons and was first team All-Greater Western Ohio Conference his sophomore year…batted above .400 his junior and senior seasons with 12 home runs…also earned four letters in football for Springfield, throwing for more than 7,000 yards and 54 touchdowns…was first team All-Ohio his junior year and second team his senior year.

Born July 1, 1988…parents are Tim and Shelli Glass…has two older brothers, Ryan and Brady, who both played baseball for the Golden Flashes from 2000-03…father Tim was drafted in the first round (seventh overall) in the 1976 MLB draft by the Cleveland Indians…was a member of the National Honor Society at Springfield…majoring in criminal justice.
