2010 Sophomore Season Highlights

•Made 14 appearances with eight starts.

•Posted a 2-4 record with a 7.08 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 48.1 innings of work.

•Tossed 4.2 frames of scoreless relief ball and did not surrender a hit in game one of a doubleheader at Wake Forest (2/27) as Kent State posted an 11-5 triumph.

•Picked up his first win of the season in his seventh start of the campaign, tossing three scoreless innings and allowing one hit while fanning four to help Kent State to a 6-3 victory at Cleveland State (4/14).

•Took the ball vs. Eastern Michigan (5/28) in the MAC Tournament, earning his second win of the season by scattering three hits and giving up one earned run over seven innings as Kent State rolled to a 15-1 victory.

•Competed for the Licking County Settlers of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, earning First Team All-GLSCL selection after posting the league's fourth-lowest ERA (1.64), second-fewest runs allowed (8) and tying for the third-fewest earned runs allowed (7).

2009 Freshman Season Highlights

•Made 13 appearances with nine starts.

•Posted a 7.27 ERA in 43.1 innings pitched.

•Picked up his first win of his career against Niagara (3/25), allowing one unearned run on four hits over five innings.

•Earned the second win of his collegiate career against Marshall (4/8), allowing only two solo home runs over five innings of work.

•Started six games for the Stark County Terriers of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, finishing with a 1-3 record and led all starters with a 3.68 ERA

•Made the GLSCL All-Star game.

•Named GLSCL pitcher of the Week July 7 when he threw six scoreless innings while allowing only three hits against the Southern Ohio Copperheads.

Prior to Kent State

•Finished with a 17-5 record in four seasons as a pitcher for Tallmadge High School under head coach Kenny Linn.

•Named First Team All-Suburban League his junior and senior seasons and Honorable Mention All-SL his sophomore season.

•Helped the Devils to SL championships his freshman, junior and senior seasons

•Helped Tallmadge finish with a 25-4 record in 2008

•Also played for the Brownlee Lookouts

•Lettered for two seasons in golf with Tallmadge.

•Parents are Christine and Dan Mace.

•Has three older brothers, Evan, Justin and Nathan.

•Brother Nathan is a junior for the Tiffin University Dragons baseball team.
