We want to make your membership in The Golden Flashes Club easier for you!
Many of our members have asked for an easier way to give annually and receive the full benefits associated with membership in The Golden Flashes Club, formerly the Blue & Gold Athletic Fund.

What does this mean for you?
At the beginning of each new fiscal year (July 1- June 30), we will ask you to renew your membership in The Golden Flashes Club. It will be important for donors to renew their annual membership as early in the fiscal year as possible to maximize each of the benefits that you are eligible to receive. This process also will prevent donors from receiving multiple renewal solicitations from The Golden Flashes Club throughout the year. However, donors may continue to receive solicitations for special initiatives as well as updates on Kent State Athletics.
How does this help you?
Benefits for members of The Golden Flashes Club are valid during the fiscal year (July 1 - June 30) in which their donation is made. If a donor makes a gift in July, for example, he or she will receive their full benefit package from July through the end of the fiscal year the following June (12 months), enabling them to reap their benefits for the full academic year. To utilize all of the benefits for which you are eligible, donors should try to renew their membership annually during July or August of each year.
Why is this happening?
The Golden Flashes Club has found that members are missing out on opportunities to utilize their benefits. We want to eliminate any confusion and allow our supporters to enjoy their membership benefits to the fullest. This new fiscal year initiative will ensure that all donors are on the same 12-month schedule.
Do I need to do anything right now?
No, you do not need to do anything right now. However, please be aware that The Golden Flashes Club will start implementing this policy on July 1, 2011. All donors should renew at that time in order to maintain their membership and receive full benefits.
