2018 Class Analysis
Head coach Sean Lewis has Kent State currently ranked as the number-five recruiting class in the MAC. By comparison, Kent State has not finished higher than seventh in the past eight years.Â
For Lewis and his staff to put together this highly ranked class after only being hired in late December is really quite amazing, and it's exciting to see what they can do for 2019 with a full year to develop relationships.Â
Lewis realized Kent State needed to get bigger across the board, and they definitely added size at most position groups. I would have Woody Barrett as the top offensive player they signed, with defensive end Connor Parks as the top defensive player.
In talking with the top prospects in Ohio and across the Midwest, it's apparent that Lewis and his staff are in the process of elevating Kent State in the eyes of recruits and the future is quite bright for the Golden Flash football program.Â
