The Kent State softball field underwent major upgrades in 2023 and is now one of the premier softball venues in the Mid-American Conference. Kent State has won over 65 percent of its home games at the facility since it opened in 1999.
The newly named Devine Diamond, named after former senior associate athletic director and trailblazer Judith K. Devine, now features a new FieldTurf outfield playing surface, a Marco all dirt infield mix, upgraded bullpens and all new fencing.
The stadium also features heated dugouts, turf batting cages, a newer scoreboard and bleachers for seating more than 500 spectators.Cara's Corner, please click here. One of the highlights of the Devine Diamond is the angled outfield fence, making the dimensions deeper in the power alleys and provides a marked contrast from the symmetrical parks found at most college softball fields. Fans will also notice a sign down the left field line for Cara's Corner. For more information on

Wishing @kentstsoftball the best of luck on their home opener as they take the field against Toledo. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the team will be playing on the newly renovated Devine Diamond with new field turf, logo, bullpens down the line, foul poles and fences! 💙⚡️ pic.twitter.com/vnjpjZyvVH
