Kyle Macon, better known as the legendary “DJ Smillz”, is the DJ for Kent State University and Kent State Athletics.
Located right in the University Edge Student Section, you can find Smillz at each Golden Flashes' Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball game, as well as at other events in and around campus!
Smillz has opened world class talents such as “The Aces”, “Quavo”, and “Yung Gravy”, and can also be found hosting fan fests for the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field. He recently gave back to the community by providing music for Kent State’s iPromise Scholars Program and other various events for the Lebron James Family Foundation in Northeast Ohio.
Smillz has a wide-ranging portfolio which features classic Hip-Hop, Disco, Funk, Pop, R&B, Rap, Afrobeats, Dancehall, Classic Rock, EDM, and more!
