•Competed for the Lorain County Ironmen of the Prospect Summer League, collecting 21 hits -- including two doubles.

Prior to Kent State

•Played one season at Xavier before transferring to Kent State.

•Played third base at Avon Lake, earning First Team All-Ohio, Southwestern Conference Most Valuable Player and Lorain County Co-Player of the Year recognition and setting school records with a .481 batting average and a .625 on-base percentage during his senior season.

•Also won the Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award.

•Lettered in basketball.

•Son of Tom and Wendy Hamilton. Siblings are Kelsey, Brad and Katie.

•Father is the play-by-play announcer for the Cleveland Indians.

•High school extracurricular activities included being Spanish Club president and a member of National Honor Society as well as volunteering with Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
