Prior to Kent State
•Lettered four times in track and field and once in cross country while at Hudson High School.
•Earned all-Northeast Ohio Conference, all-district and all-region in the 1600.
•Named all region, All-Ohio and All-American as a member of the 4x800-meter relay team his junior year.
•Earned first team all-conference honors in the 4x400-meter relay and second team all-conference honors in the 400 meters following sophomore season.
•Also participated in the long jump and the high jump.

•Son of Steve and Maggie Fischer.
•Has two sisters, Kelly and Shannon.
•Sister Kelly is a current Kent State student.
•Volunteered in soup kitchens while in high school.
•Majoring in exercise physiology.
