David Larson was hired in September 2025 as the athletic trainer for wresting and football.

David returned to Kent State after a brief period at Hiram College as an assistant athletic trainer, assisting with all sports on campus. During undergrad, he played one semester of college football at the University of Findlay before transferring to Lorain County Community College to complete his associate of science and associate of arts degrees.

David is a Kent State Alum, having obtained his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science in 2023 and Masters of Science in Athletic Training in 2025. During his graduate school program, he worked with Kent State football and softball, Mount Union football, and Archbishop Hoban spring sports.
