Alperstein joined Kent State Men's Basketball as a Graduate Assistant in July 2025. He manages day-to-day team operations, including practice logistics, travel arrangements and game-day execution. He also films practices and games to compile scouting reports, tracks the team's budget, supports NIL collective operations, and leads player development sessions and community engagement events.
Prior to Kent State, Alperstein spent two years (2023-2025) as a Basketball Operations Coordinator for Weave Agency in Los Angeles, where he maintained player statistics databases and used Synergy Sports technology to support client scouting and development. During that time, he also completed an internship with the Los Angeles Sparks (2024) as a Basketball Operations and Video Coordinator, assisting with on-court operations, team travel and game-day media logistics.
While earning his undergraduate degree, Alperstein served as a Student Manager for University of Arizona Women's Basketball (2023-2024), supporting Head Coach Adia Barnes and the coaching staff with daily practices, equipment management and recruiting visits. He also spent two years (2021-2023) as a Basketball Analyst for The Daily Wildcat, the University of Arizona's student newspaper, where he wrote more than 50 articles on Wildcat athletics, with and covered the Pac-12 Tournament and NCAA March Madness with exclusive media access.
Alperstein is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Sport Administration at Kent State University, expected in May 2027. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a minor in Public Relations in 2025.
