Named MAC Defensive Player of the Year by MAC Report Online ... Played in all 34 games and ended his career as the MAC’s all-time leader with 135 games played ... Finished seventh on the KSU career list with 347 career assists ... The Golden Flashes went 55-24 (.696) all-time when he was in the starting line-up ... Had five assists vs Northern Illinois (Feb. 9) ... Equaled a career high with four steals at Toledo (Feb. 2) ... In a 77-67 win at Eastern Michigan (Jan. 30) he helped KSU gain a +7 advantage during a 2:51 first half stretch that was part of a 15-1 run ... Mincy’s pressure led to five EMU turnovers while he held All-MAC guard Carlos Medlock to 1-7 shooting in the first half, leading to a 13-point KSU advantage ... In a 67-58 win against Western Michigan (Jan. 27) he re-entered the game at 18:25 in the second half with KSU trailing by six (37-31) and played the next 16:37 as the Golden Flashes gained a +10 advantage and took a 58-54 lead ... 2006-07 Sophomore Season
Played in all 32 games and made 20 starts, including the last 15 games of the season ... Averaged 3.2 points and 3.6 assists ... Led the team with 116 assists ... Finished seventh in the MAC in assists (3.6) and first in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.1 ... Had 25 games with two or fewer turnovers, including zero against Buffalo (Feb. 21) and Akron (Mar. 9) ... Set a career high in points with 15 vs. IUPUI (Nov. 11) hitting on 4-of-6 from the floor, 2-of-2 from three point range, and 5-of-6 from the FT line while also dishing out five assists ... Handed out a career high 10 assists against Buffalo with no turnovers on Feb. 21 ... Averaged 3.7 apg in his last six games and was a perfect 8-8 from the FT line since Feb. 11 ... Had five or more assists in a game 12 times during the season and 14 in his career ... He had more turnovers than assists in only four games ... 2005-06 Freshman Season
Appeared in all 34 games and made 13 starts as a rookie point guard ... Averaged 1.7 points and 1.0 rebound per contest ... Was fourth on the team with 47 assists, averaging 1.4 per game ... Scored a seven points twice, at Central Michigan (Jan. 7) and at Bowling Green (Feb. 21) ... Handed out a then personal-best seven assists in second career game vs. Austin Peay (Nov. 22) ... Grabbed a career-high five rebounds vs. Toledo (Jan. 4) ... Finished the season with 20 steals, including a career-high four thefts vs. Texas-Pan American (Nov. 26) ... Had three steals twice in a three-game span, vs. Toledo (Jan. 4) and Ball State (Jan. 11), sandwiching his seven-point game at CMU ... Also had five assists in that Ball State game ... Ranked third on the team in three-point percentage at 38.1 percent ... Finished the year with 10 more assists than turnovers, a ratio of 1.3 assist/turnover ... Hit two three-pointers at Bowling Green ... Made a three-pointer in four straight games from Dec. 22-Jan. 7 ... Had three games with two or more assists and no turnovers ... In 21 minutes, totaled four assists, two points and just one turnover in MAC Tournament semifinal victory over Ohio (Mar. 10) ... Played 20 or more minutes eight times ... Eight of his 18 field goals (44.4%) came from three-point range.
Prior to Kent State
Led Ridgeway to a Tennessee Class AAA state championship as a senior ... Averaged 10 points and six assists during the season and had an eight-point, 12-assist showing in the state championship game ... Hoop Scoop ranked him as the 14th-best player and second-best point guard in Tennessee in class of 2005, while Dave Telep had him ranked as one of the top-10 point guards in the nation that did not commit during the early signing period in November ... Was coached by Wes Henning at Ridgeway.

Born Oct. 11, 1986 ... Sister, Jada, played at Mississippi (2003-07), while brother, Jerome (1982-86), is one of just three players in UAB history to have his number retired and played professionally in Puerto Rico ... Is the son of Willie Mincy and Sharon Pruitt-Mincy ... Is a pre-marketing major.
