Milestone Performances Lift Golden Flashes over Eastern Kentucky

KENT – Kent State Men's Basketball (5-1) won their fifth straight game on Tuesday night defeating the Colonels of Eastern Kentucky University by a final score of 93-78. A pair of Flashes achieved career milestones as Morgan Safford surpassed 1,000 points in his college career. Delrecco Gillespie also surpassed 500 points as a Golden Flash. Rob Whaley Jr. tallied 20 points for his second highest total as a Flash thus far.

Delrecco Gillespie Named USBWA Oscar Robertson Honored Player of the Week

KENT – Senior forward Delrecco Gillespie has been named an honored player of the week by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. The USBWA has expanded its national weekly honors program to now highlight five national Division I players of the week each week in conjunction with the Oscar Robertson Trophy.

Kent State is Back in the MACC on Tuesday Night to Host Eastern Kentucky

KENT – The Kent State Men's Basketball team (4-1) will be back in action inside the M.A.C. Center on Tuesday, Nov. 18 against the Eastern Kentucky University Colonels. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Golden Flashes will be seeking their fifth straight victory after taking both games at The Greenbrier Tip-Off River Division this past weekend (Nov. 15 vs. Cleveland State, Nov. 16 vs. Wright State).
