??Cormac Reilly joined the Kent State University men’s basketball program as a Graduate Assistant in August of 2025.
Reilly assists with player development and assists with video for practice, opponent scouting, games, and recruiting. He is also responsible for the organization and management of the team managers. He also organizes recruiting calendars, as well as itineraries and travel for road games.
Prior to Kent State, Reilly served as Assistant Varsity Coach and JV Head Coach at Hudson Catholic Regional High School in Jersey City, New Jersey, during the 2024-2025 season. There, he was responsible for varsity scouting, opponent game planning, and the development of the offensive playbook; managing program social media; coordinating camps; supporting college recruiting; and organizing team logistics.
Since August 2024, Reilly has also served as a Skills Trainer and the Founder of Proper Hoops LLC in New York, New York. There, he has delivered individualized and group skill training, emphasized fundamentals, conditioning, basketball IQ, and film breakdown.
In addition to Proper Hoops, he has served as Assistant to the Director of Team Tournaments for the Hoop Group in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, since April of 2025.
Before the Hoop Group, Reilly was a coach for the New York Renaissance, where he was an assistant coach at the 17U level with the Rens United Program. He also aided in scouting, recruiting, and player development for the EYBL program. He facilitated college recruiting communications to Georgetown, Fordham, Navy, Brown, Sacred Heart, Johns Hopkins, UChicago, and Emory, among others.
A student-athlete himself, Reilly attended Hunter College, where he played for the men’s basketball team starting in 2021 before graduating in 2023. Prior to Hunter, he also attended and played for Hartwick College from 2019 to 2021.
