Lynda joined the Kent State University athletic staff as an Assistant Learning Specialist in the spring of 2019.
Prior to that, she worked for a number of years in KSU Athletics as a writing and language tutor. Before joining the Golden Flashes in academic services, she spent a decade in Colorado teaching at various levels including secondary and higher education, as well as adult remedial GED instruction. In addition to her service at Kent State, she currently teaches courses in French and ESL.
Having grown up in New Jersey, Swan is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a BA in French language. She earned a master's degree in education and French literature from the University of Colorado. She lives in Kent with her husband Todd, a Kent native, and their three children, Haydn, Shane and Sarah.
