Avery Van Reeth joined the Kent State University men's basketball team as a graduate assistant prior to the 2021-22 season and serves as the team's video coordinator. He is enrolled in the Sports Administration master's program.

Van Reeth joined the Golden Flashes' program after graduating with a degree in Sport Industry from Ohio State in 2020, where he was a student manager for three seasons under head coach Chris Holtmann and his staff. He is a local native of Streetsboro, Ohio.
