Volleyball Falls in First MAC Contest

The Kent State University volleyball team (4-6, 0-1 MAC) dropped its first Mid-American Conference (MAC) match of the season by scores of 29-31, 21-30, 21-30 to Eastern Michigan University (12-1, 1-0 MAC) Friday night (Sept. 26).
Sophomore Danielle Holt (Galion, Ohio/Galion) registered her sixth double-double of the season with 13 kills, 14 digs and three service aces. Sophomore Jenny Weilert (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) bagged eight kills on .312 hitting Juniors Ruth Ladurner-Schnitzer (Lana, Italy/Franz Kafka) and Kara Warnke (Aurora, Ohio/Lock Haven University) each finished with seven kills. Senior Tarrin Pelton (Okemos, Mich./Okemos) had eight digs.
Katie Wagenmaker led the Eagles with 13 kills.
The Golden Flashes return to the M.A.C. Center tomorrow night (Sept. 27) to face Central Michigan University at 7 p.m.
