Box ScoreNo. 9 Kent State (11-14, 7-9 MAC) was knocked out of the 2004 MAC Volleyball Tournament with a 27-30, 10-30, 21-30 quarterfinal loss to No. 1 Ohio (25-2, 16-0 MAC) Friday night in Bowling Green.The Bobcats defense tallied 13 blocks and held the Flashes to a .072 hitting percentage.Senior Michelle Corniffe (Ajax, Ontario/Ajax) and junior Danielle Holt (Galion, Ohio/Galion) led the Flashes with eight kills apiece. Junior Anne Butts (Bloomington, Ill./University) registered 26 assists while freshman Laura Jensen (Apple Valley, Minn./Burnsville) added 13 digs.Holly Schetzsle and Stephanie Blackburn led the Bobcats with 12 and 11 kills, respectively.Kent State, under the direction of head coach Mora Kanim, finished 11-14 overall with a 7-9 conference record, which tied for third in the MAC East Division.
