First season
Scott Booker, a former four-year letter winner for the Golden Flashes, will begin his first season as a full-time assistant in 2005, working primarily with the cornerbacks. He served as a graduate assistant on the staff last year, assisting with the defensive secondary, after working as a student assistant in 2003.
As a graduate assistant last year he also assisted coaching the offensive scout team. He also worked with the scout team and assisted with the linebackers as a student coach while beginning his graduate degree program.
As a player for the Golden Flashes, Booker was a four-year regular from 1999-2002 at safety as well as on several special teams units. He was selected to the Mid-American Conference All-Academic Team in 2001.
Booker graduated cum laude from Kent State in the spring of 2003 with a bachelors degree in business administration and was a co-winner of the athletic departments Judy Devine Excellence in Leadership Award as a senior. He is working towards a masters degree in sports studies.
A Pittsburgh, Pa. native, Booker and his wife, Jen, were married this summer. They reisde in Tallmadge.
