Gymnastics Showcases Talent at Annual Blue & Gold Meet

The Blue team was victorious as they edged out the Gold 114.775 to 113.825. The Blue squad was led by junior tri-captain Shawntelle Thompson who placed second in the all-around competition with a score of 38.075. The Gold team was led by senior tri-captain Carrie Mayle who captured the all-around title, notching a score of 38.475. Mayle also took first place on the vault (9.675) and balance beam (9.675). Sophomore tri-captain Kristen Peters took home the bars crown with a score of 9.750 while junior Amy Cucinotta won on the floor with a 9.800.
The Golden Flashes, under the direction of head coach Brice Biggin open the 2006 season at the All-Ohio meet in Columbus, Ohio on Jan. 14, 2005.
