Softball Closes Tourney with 4-1 Loss to Charleston Southern

The Kent State University softball team (8-11) closed theUCF Tournament with a 4-1 loss to Charleston Southern University (10-25)and fifth-place finish March 20.
After going 3-for-3 against the Buccaneers yesterday, junior 2B AshleyBall (Lebanon, Ohio/Lebanon) followed up with another solid performanceagainst CSU, going 2-for-3 with a RBI. Freshman C Whitney Lebowitz (Tempe,Ariz./Corona Del Sol) recorded another double against Charleston Southernand went 1-for-4 in the game while senior 3B Jodi Stevens (McCutchenville,Ohio/Mohawk) went 1-for-3 with one run.
Junior P Erin Christopher (Loudonville, Ohio/Loudonville) gave up sevenhits, including three doubles, and four earned runs to fall to 2-3 on theyear.
The Golden Flashes will wrap their Florida trip with a single gameagainst Stetson University Monday, March 21, at 6 p.m.
