In the first game, Kent State scored a single run in the bottom of the second inning on a sacrifice fly by senior Ashley Ball to score sophomore Whitney Lebowitz from third.
The game was delayed for nearly three hours due to rain as the Flashes were about to bat in the bottom of the fourth.
Kent State used the delay to warm up their hitting shoes as the Flashes pounded out six hits and scored eight runs in the bottom of the fourth to seal the outcome. The big blows for KSU were a pair of three-run homers, one by Robinson with no outs and the other by Lebowitz with two outs. Lebowitz had three hits in three at bats with three RBIs and two runs scored against the Rockets. Classmate Jessica Toocheck had two hits in three at bats with a run scored.
Robinson tied the school record for career no-hitters with her gem against the Rockets while striking out 10. This is the sixth time in her past seven outings that Robinson has struck out 10 or more batters.
Because of the rain delay, the second game was cancelled after 2.1 innings with Kent State leading 11-0 due to darkness. In that game, the Flashes smacked a school record seven home runs.
