Gymnastics Earns Team Victory Against Ball State

The Flashes began the meet on vault where they put in very strong performances. Freshmen Brittany Kopp and Lydia Barrett along with junior Kristin Peters won first place honors with scores of 9.800. This is Kopp's second 9.800 score and event win in as many weeks.
The team took their momentum on to bars where they earned the top five finishes on the event. Peters was once again a winner as she gave a stellar performance of 9.825 and took home first place honors. Junior Jill Kowalski finished second with a solid 9.800 routine. Junior Amy Presan finished in third place with a personal-best mark of 9.775.
They did. Presan earned her first event win of the season with a 9.750 on beam with a very polished performance. Peters took home her third medal of the night with a 9.700 that earned her a second place finish. Freshman Carly Conroy finished in third place with a mark of 9.650.
In the final rotation the Flashes were on floor. They were spectacular. The team as a whole scored a 48.900 on the event. Sophomore Laci Hendress put on a tremendous performance for the second week in a row, taking home first place honors with a career-best tying score of 9.875. Senior Amy Cucinotta finished second with an energetic routine that scored a 9.825. Kowalski rounded out the top three with a strong showing, earning a 9.800.
