McKee led the team in scoring against Hampton with 16 points and five rebounds. He connected on four of 12 shots from the field, including three of nine from behind the arch. McKee also made five of six shots from the charity stripe.
Sunday against Coppin State, McKee scored a career-high 20 points and made six of 10 shots from three-point range. He was the first KSU player to make six three-pointers since guard Armon Gates made six three-pointers against Buffalo in the quarterfinals of the 2006 MAC tournament.
