Blue defeats Gold in Gymnastics intrasquad

Kent State's Blue team outscored the Kent State gold squad 154.700 to 154.350 in a Gymnastics team intrasquad scrimmage at the KSU Gymnastics Room on Friday (11/30) evening.

The Blue team won the beam (38.250), bars (38.700), and floor (39.200) while the Gold team won the vault (39.500).

Freshman Christine Abou-Mitri (Broadview Heights, Oh./Brecksville-Broadview Heights) won the vault with a score of 9.850 for the Gold team.

On bars, senior Kristin Peters (Maineville, Oh./Kings) finished first with a score of 9.950.

A quartet of Golden Flashes, two from each squad, tied for top honors on beam with scores of 9.700. Senior Amy Presan (Scottsdale, Az./Horizon) and freshman Christina Lenny (Broadview Heights, Oh./Brecksville-Broadview Heights) brought home top honors for the Blue squad. Junior Laci Hendress (Wolcott, In./Tri County) and sophomore Brittany Kopp (Cleveland, Oh./Holy Name) placed first for the Gold team.

Senior Jill Kowalski (Carol Stream, Ill./Glenbard North) placed first on floor with a score of 9.850.

In the all-around, Christina Lenny placed first with a score of 38.900 for the Blue Team.
