Flashes lose to UNLV 6-1in Tampa, Florida

Kent State suffered a 6-1 loss to the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) in the opening game for both teams at the 2007 USF Speedline Tournament at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida on Friday, March 16. Senior pitcher Brittney Robinson (LaGrange, Ohio/Keystone) took the loss surrendering six earned runs in six innings with seven strikeouts against the Rebels. Robinson and junior outfielder Corey Houk (Hebron, Ohio/Lakewood) each registered a pair of hits in three at bats to pace the Flashes. Freshman Heather Duhon (/) scored the lone run for the Flashes pinch-running for Robinson. UNLV's Christie Robinson earned the victory for the Rebels allowing one run on six hits with six strikeouts in seven innings. She is now 9-3 on the season.
