Softball travels for doubleheader with Penn State

Kent State's softball team (17-11 overall, 4-0 MAC) travels to University Park, Pennsylvania for a doubleheader against Penn State University on Wednesday (4/11).

The Golden Flashes had all four of their Mid-American Conference games with Central Michigan University and Eastern Michigan University snowed out last weekend.

The Nittany Lions (16-12 overall, 2-0 Big 10) enter the week ranked 27^th on one poll and 35^th nationally on another.

As a team, Kent State currently ranks 20^th nationally in earned run average (1.64) and 24^th in fielding percentage (.971). Individually, senior outfielder/pitcher Brittney Robinson (LaGrange, Ohio/Keystone) ranks fourth in doubles (12) and 15^th in strikeouts per seven innings (9.9). Freshman pitcher Kylie Reynolds (Greensboro, Ga./Morgan County) is ranked sixth in strikeouts per seven innings (12.0) and 12^th in earned run average (0.95).
