KENT, Ohio - With the Kent State football season set to get underway on Thursday (Aug. 30) at Iowa State, fans of the Golden Flashes will have plenty of opportunities this week - and for the rest of the season - to catch up on KSU athletics.
During football and basketball season, Bill Needle will host the Montrose Auto Group Kent State Insider every Thursday night from 6-7 p.m. on SportsRadio 1350 AM in Akron. As an added bonus this week, a special edition of the show will air from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday (Aug. 29) night as well. Wednesday's show will feature Athletic Director Laing Kennedy as well as field hockey head coach Kathleen Schanne and volleyball head coach Glen Conley. Thursday's edition of the program will showcase interviews with numerous football players. Beginning shortly, the show will be staged live from the Water Street Tavern in Kent or fans can also call (866) 372-1350 to voice their opinions on the Blue & Gold.
Following the Montrose Auto Group Kent State Insider on Thursday, listeners will want to switch over to WNIR 100.1 FM for the hour-long football preview show leading off to the 8:00 p.m. ET kickoff with the Cyclones. Once again this year, Needle will be joined in the booth by analyst Tom Linder, while Ty Linder will handle the sideline duties.
