KSU Baseball Alumni and Friends Weekend Set

KENT, Ohio - The 2007 MAC Tournament Champion Kent State Golden Flashes will host a fun-filled and competitive get-together in the form of the KSU Baseball Alumni and Friends Weekend Sept. 29-30 2007.
The events slated for Saturday, Sept. 29 are a golf outing and dinner at the Windmill Lakes Golf Course in Ravenna. After a 1 p.m. shotgun start, an afternoon of camaraderie and fellowship will take place with longest drive competitions, skill shot prizes and more. Prizes will be awarded for two groups: 59 and under; and 60 and over. Following the day on the links, golfers will be treated to a steak dinner complete with a raffle, award presentations and closing commentary from head coach Scott Stricklin.
The fesitivities will continue on Sunday with the alumni game. Following the ceremonial uniform fittings at 10 a.m. and a 10:30 batting practice session, the first pitch will be thrown at noon. Pizza will be served in the clubhouse following the ballgame.
The golf outing costs are $125 per individual golfer with the opportunity to register as a foursome. Individuals can register and sponsor a sign for $225 and four golfers can register, sponsor a sign and receieve a corporate gift for $1,000. All other activites will be pay-as-you-go. Prepaid reservations can be made up until Sept. 19 and payment can be made via check or credit card.
