Kent State Soccer Lands Two on All-MAC Team

Marosszeky and Hester named to Second Team
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Kent State junior Catharine Marosszeky (Aurora, Ontario / Cardinal Center) and senior Caitlin Hester (Worthington, Ohio / Thomas Worthington) were named Second Team All-Mid-American Conference for the 2008 season. The announcement was made by the league office on Thursday evening.
Marosszeky earned all-league honors for the third time in her career adding to a second team nod last year and All-Freshman team accolades in 2005. This fall she tied for third on the team with three goals scored, including the game-winner in overtime against SIU Edwardsville. The NCAA SAAC representative for the MAC, Marosszeky has four game-winning goals in her career.
Hester, a midfielder was honored for the first time in her collegiate career. This season she ignited the KSU offense and ranked third in the MAC with seven assists. Hester led the Golden Flashes with five goals, including four coming off her own throw-in. The senior wraps up her career with the Blue and Gold ranked fifth all-time at KSU with 14 career goals.
This is the sixth straight season the Golden Flashes have had at least two players earn all-league honors.
