
Miller and Salopek Earn All-Ohio Honors For The Flashes

KENT, Ohio- Samantha Miller and Kelsey Salopek received All-Ohio honors by The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association on Wednesday. Honors were awarded by achievements both on the field and in the classroom.
As a Junior Biology Major, Miller earned a spot on the 1st Team All-Ohio Academic list with a 4.0 GPA. Her play also landed her on the 2nd Team-All Ohio list for Division One Schools.
The Butler, Pennsylvania native also won her first conference honors this season as she led the team in points this season with 12 coming off of four goals and four assists. Since transferring from Michigan State, she has accumulated six goals and five assists with the Blue and Gold.Â
This season she led the team in shots with 33, while 16 of them were on target. She also scored a game winning goal in the first game of the season against Cleveland State.
Kesley Salopek
The Munhall, Pennsylvania native wrapped up her collegiate career for the Golden Flashes making 2nd Team All-Ohio and 2nd-Team All-Academic Ohio with a 3.71 GPA. She also finished with three seasons of All-MAC honors with an appearance on the 1st team in 2023 and the All-Freshman team in 2022.
Salopek proved to be one of the top scoring threats for the Golden Flashes this year while playing defense. She finished the regular season with 10 points off of four goals and two assists, including a streak of three goals in the first three conference games in MAC play. She led the team in game-winning goals with three, while also contributing 15 Shots on Goal. In her career she has contributed 11 goals, three assists, 83 shots and five game-winning goals.
