Stillings Named Kent State Athlete Of The Week

Sophomore Brad Stillings (Washington Court House, Ohio/Washington) threw an impressive eight innings Friday night of the Mid-American Baseball Tournament and was named Kent State Athlete of the Week. In the game, Stillings and the Golden Flashes defeated the Northern Illinois Huskies 10-3 to make their third-straight MAC tournament finals.
In the game, Stillings allowed only six hits and three runs while striking out eight. In eight innings of work, the right-hander threw only 109 pitches, 70 of which were strikes. In the seventh, Northern Illinois threatened with runners at first and second with one out. However, Stillings struck out the next two hitters to end the last threat in the game by the Huskies.
In five of his eight innings or work, Stillings retired the side in order.
