Humes Named Kent State Athlete of the Week

Redshirt junior guard Jamilah Humes (Saginaw, Mich./Arthur Hill) was named Kent State Athlete of the Week. Against Cleveland State Saturday (Dec. 5), the women's basketball team defeated Cleveland State 71-56.
Humes made seven of 14 field goals from the floor, including a perfect 4-for-4 mark from beyond the arc, to score a season-high 23 points. She also contributed six rebounds, five assists and a pair of steals in 28 minutes of action against the Vikings. For the season, Humes leads the team with 11.5 points per game while she is third with 5.2 rebounds per game.
The Golden Flashes return to action Tuesday night (Dec. 8) when it hosts Wichita State at 7 p.m.
