Flashes Earn Academic Team Award

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association recognized Kent State with a Division I National Academic Team Award on Monday, Feb. 23. The honor is presented to programs with a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the first semester of the 2008-09 academic year.
Individually, 15 Golden Flashes from the 2008 squad had a fall semester GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Kent State will spend its 2009 spring break in England for a series of scrimmages.
