Rohan Named First MAC East Player of the Week

CLEVELAND - Fifth-year senior Greg Rohan garnered the first Mid-American Conference East Player of the Week honors for the 2009 season. The Kent State baseball team swept UNC Greensboro in a three game series this past weekend (Feb. 20-22) and scored 46 runs.
On Sunday's series finale at UNC Greensboro, Rohan had a career-high five hits, seven RBI and four runs scored. He hit a two-run home run in the fourth and had his first career grand slam in the seventh. With the two home runs in the game, Rohan is currently tied for fifth in KSU history with 35 home runs. He finished the week with a 10-for-17 (.588 batting average), a 1.059 slugging percentage, nine RBI's, six runs, two home runs and a triple.
