Now a two-time all-conference selection, Kowalska was double teamed in the paint throughout the season. Her top performances in league play included 20 points and 15 rebounds against Bowling Green and 27 points, nine rebounds and three blocks at Central Michigan. With defensive attention on the inside, the Flashes shot an impressive .403 from three-point range in conference play.
One of five players earning Honorable Mention, Humes has now claimed conference accolades in each of her two seasons played. She was a member of the MAC's All-Freshman in 2007.
This season, Humes led the MAC in steals (2.57 spg). In conference play, she averaged 12.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
With a second place finish in the MAC East, the Golden Flashes (19-9) earned a first round bye at this week's MAC Tournament and will play Friday afternoon (March 13) in the quarterfinals. KSU's opponent will determined Wednesday when Northern Illinois takes on Buffalo.
