Hey All! Kirstin and Chelsea coming at ya with details about our day at Oxford. Although it looked like it was going to be gloomy during our visit, not long after our arrival the sun came out for most of the afternoon. It turned out to be a lovely area once right by the University. A good portion of the team was able to do some phenomenal shopping on Broad Street and Cornmarket Street. There was also a great marketplace on High Street that offered anything from a variety of cheeses, fine chocolates, patisseries, or a vast selection of milkshakes.
For those of us that were keener on taking in the sights, Oxford had plenty to offer. High Street, one of the more famous streets in Britain, had beautiful architecture with St. Mary the Virgin Church and University College, with the Radcliff Camera visible from that street as well. Some other great sights were The Bridge of Sighs, The Sheldonian Theatre, and Martyr's Memorial. Also available to see was Christ College where the University students eat the majority of their meals, similar to what is seen in the Harry Potter movies. Many of the girls bought sweatshirts, t-shirts, and various polos as souvenirs, and returned to the bus just when the weather turned sour again, overall, a very successful outing.
