And we will call it a night from the MAC Center. A nice banked three by Buffalo but it is not enough. KSU wins 72-53.
Game is getting a little chippy but what do you know? Bennett adds another three. 69-49 KSU with 1:38 left.
It is still raining threes here in the second half. Buffalo has fought hard, but cannot quite claw their way back in the game. 64-44 KSU with 3:25 left.
Here come the Bulls. They have already scored more points in seven minutes in the second half (16) than they have in the first half (14). Although, Bennett counters with a a basket and splits a pair from the line. 47-30 KSU 12:34 left.
Buffalo starting to assert themselves down low and KSU, for their big lead, really has not. 44-26 KSU 13:41 left. Loose balls starting to go UB's way.
Kent State's defense letting up some easy baskets here in the early going, but Odhiambo with back-to-back baskets. 42-20 KSU 16:00 left.
With the clock winding down, all I can say is this is an impressive display. 26-5 run to end the half. 34-14 KSU over UB at half.
Harkins with another three. Kent State has made seven threes. 34-14 KSU over Buffalo with 2:00 left.
Bennett hits a three. KSU 6-9 from three (.667) while they are only while only 5-16 from inside the arc (.313). Go figure, 31-14 KSU with 3:54 remaining in the first.
Welcome Harkins to the three-point barrage! Bulls answer with a three, but Humes answers with a mid-range jumper. 26-12 KSU over Buffalo 6:04 left.
Teams are a combined 8-30 from the field. However, three of the for KSU are threes. Add in the three free throws, and you get the 16-9 KSU lead. As I speak, Harris adds her third three of the ballgame. 19-9 KSU 8:17 left.
Some good looks from both teams but nothing falling. 10-9 KSU with 12:00 minutes left.
Just as I type, Chenel Harris adds another three, but the Bulls add one of their own. 8-7 KSU 16:55 left.
Buffalo and Kent State trade baskets until a nice inbound screen from underneath the basket finds a wide open Chenel Harris for a three from the left corner. The Bulls then go down the court and hit a pair of free throws. 5-4 KSU 18:10 left. Good starts for both teams.
