David Edmonds Starner Speaker Series to be Streamed Live

Wednesday night's Starner Distinguished Speaker Series can be seen live and free through Stretch Internet and KentStateSports.com. Dave Edmonds, the Senior Vice President, Sales for FedEx Worldwide Services, will be the ninth presenter Wednesday night in the the annual series, which takes place in the Kent State Ballroom.
Edmonds, a 1980 graduate of Kent State and native of Akron, Ohio, has been a part of the global transportation industry. Edmonds is approaching his 10th year as the Senior Vice President for Worldwide Services at FedEx and also has responsibilities in other sales departments including FedEx Corporate Sales and FedEx Government Sales.
While at Kent State, Edmonds was a two-year letterwinner on the baseball team for the 1979 and 1980 seasons. A third baseman and catcher, Edmonds batted .264 in 32 games as a senior, adding five doubles and finishing fourth on the 1980 squad with 22 RBI. The 1980 Golden Flashes finished 20-19 overall.
Edmonds has been a supporter of the Blue and Gold Annual Fund, was a Schoonover Stadium Project Leadership donor and was a recipient of the Varsity "K" Award in 2002. He is a lifetime member of the Kent State University Alumni Association and currently serves on the NADC board.
The Starner Distinguished Speaker Series was established by Buzz and Marilyn Starner, graduates of Kent State that have been actively involved in supporting Kent State athletics. The speaker series showcases former KSU student-athletes that have demonstrated success and inspiration since their Kent State athletic careers.
