Gymnastics Earns Preseason National Ranking

In a preseason poll by GymInfo, the Golden Flashes were ranked 21st nationally heading into the 2012 season
KENT, Ohio – The Kent State gymnastics team received preseason recognition this week when the Golden Flashes were ranked 21st in a preseason poll by GymInfo.
Coming off their 2011 NCAA Championships appearance last spring, Kent State's 2012 roster features 14 returnees, including eight gymnasts that saw action at the 2011 national championship event, while seven freshmen join the squad for this season.
Kent State was the highest ranked team of the Mid-American Conference; Central Michigan, Western Michigan and Northern Illinois received votes in the poll.
The Golden Flashes will host their annual Blue and Gold Intrasquad meet Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. at the MAC Center.
