Goldenberg Garners First Career MAC Specialist of the Week Award

 CLEVELAND -- Kent State junior Rachel Goldenberg (Doylestown, Pa.) has been named Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week, as announced by the conference office today (Feb. 21).
Goldenberg tied for first on the vault with a career-high score of 9.900 to help Kent State defeat Northern Illinois, 194.800-192.875, Sunday (Feb. 20).
Goledenberg's award is the first weekly conference honor of her career and marks the seventh time this season that a Kent State gymnast has received either Gymnast of the Week or Specialist of the Week honors.
The No. 19 Golden Flashes host their annual 'Flip For The Cure' meet against Western Michigan on Feb. 27.
