Women's basketball junior-to-be one of 13 representing Great Britain in Shenzen, China
KENT, Ohio – Tamzin Barroilhet, a member of Kent State's women's basketball team, will represent Great Britain this summer as a member of Great Britain Basketball's women's World University Games team.
The 13-player squad will be one of 16 teams participating in the international event (formally called "Universiade") in Shenzen, China, from August 11-23.
Great Britain will compete in Pool B, facing the United States, Brazil and Slovakia.
Last summer, Barroilhet was an integral part in helping the GB under-20 squad capture the FIBA Europe B Division title, which guaranteed the team's promotion to the elite A Division.
The summer and winter Universiades are open to all student-athletes that have not been out of university or its equivalent for more than a year and that are between 17 and 28 years old.
