The Game
Having won five straight, Kent State (17-6; 7-3 MAC) looks to keep its momentum rolling against Ball State (12-10; 4-6 MAC) in front of a nationally televised audience on Saturday morning. The 11:00 am contest will aired on ESPNU.
Powered by a 17 point effort from senior forward Justin Greene and the late game heroics from junior guard Randal Holt, the Golden Flashes extended their winning streak to five straight with a 62-58 win at Eastern Michigan on Wednesday night. Greene, the 2011 MAC Player of the Year, was 8-10 from the field in the contest and became only the eighth player in school history to reach the 1,400 career point plateau. He has been a driving force for Kent State in MAC play ranking second in the league with 15.9 ppg and third with a 56.7 field goal percentage.
Holt meanwhile hit a clutch three-pointer for the second straight game with his go-ahead triple with 23 seconds remaining. The Golden Flashes' tops marksman with 47 threes on the year, he is averaging 13.9 points in MAC play (7th in the league) while shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc.
Ball State enters the game on Saturday having lost five straight following a 4-1 start to league play. The Cardinals are led by 6-9 senior forward Jarrod Jones who is averaging 16.7 points and 8.6 rebounds a game.

• Justin Greene is eighth all-time at Kent State with 1,408 points, He now has a way to go to move up into seventh which is currently held by Nate Reinking with 1,456 points. Reinking (1992-96) will be playing for the host country Britain in the 2012 London Olympics
• Greene also fourth all-time in career rebounds with 742. His total is the most by a Kent State player in 25 years
• Randal Holt has moved into 11th place on the all-time three-point field goals made list at Kent State. He now has 132 leaving him 11 shy of 10th place held by Mike McKee and Mike Klinzing.
Elite 8 Reunion Set For Feb. 18 And Will Include Appearances from Antonio Gates and others
• Kent State will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the 2002 Elite 8 team on Feb. 18 when the Golden Flashes host a SEARS BracketBuster game

Kent State Hosts Charleston For Sears BracketBuster Game
• Kent State will be hosting the College of Charleston on Saturday, Feb. 18 as part of the 10th annual Sears BracketBuster event
• The Game will be broadcast on SportsTime Ohio at 6 pm
• The Golden Flashes are 1-1 all-time against Charleston. The last time they met was the final game in Gates' historic career and resulted in a 71-66 win by the Cougars at the M.A.C. Center in the 2003 NIT
