Kent State Women's Basketball Inks Heather Bachman

All-conference center from Bloomington, Minn., adds post depth to the Golden Flashes.
KENT, Ohio – First-year Kent State women's basketball head coach Danielle O'Banion announced the signing of prep all-conference center Heather Bachman Tuesday (June 5).
A native of Bloomington, Minn., Bachman starred as a 6-2 center at Kennedy High School, earning two All Conference awards and six All Conference Honorable Mentions for the Eagles. Bachman, a three-sport athlete who competed in volleyball and golf as well as basketball, Bachman, won the 2012 Athena Award, which recognizes the top female athlete in the senior class of each high school in the Minneapolis metropolitan area. The daughter of Mike and Deb Bachman also competed at the AAU level for the Minnesota Stars.
"Heather anchors our first signing class as she chose Kent State during the Early Signing Period," said O'Banion. "She brings a much needed interior presence to our roster along with an outstanding work ethic. The entire Kent State community benefits from her joining us as she is a tremendous student and citizen."
