Fall Practice Begins For Kent State Field Hockey

KENT, Ohio - The Kent State field hockey team officially began their preperations for the 2012 season on Thursday (Aug. 9). The squad began the day with a 6:00 am fitness test before returning to Murphy-Mellis Field for pictures later in the afternoon. After the fun and glamour of photo day was complete the real work began.
With nearly 80 percent of the roster made up of freshmen and sophomores intensity will be key for the Golden Flashes throughout fall camp. The season gets underway on Aug. 24 when Kent State plays host to Indiana at 12:00 pm. The Golden Flashes also welcome James Madision on Aug. 26 and Vermont on Aug. 28 as part of an opening three game set that will be a good challenge for the team right out of the gate.
