Scouting the Opponents
• Ball State, who has a record of 5-3-2; 2-0-0 MAC, is coming off two consecutive MAC wins over Buffalo and Akron. The Cardinals have proven so far that they are a tough team to put away, having forced overtime play in three of their ten contests. Jasmine Moses is their main weapon, as she leads the team in both goals scored (three) and points (six).
All-Time Series: Kent State is 6-6-2 all-time against Ball State, winning their last meeting 2-0 in Muncie. The Golden Flashes have not lost in this series since 2009. That streak matches the longest number of consecutive wins by either school in their history against each other.
• Miami is 8-2-0; 2-0-0 MAC coming into their match-up with Kent State. Two of their wins have come against MAC opponents, having defeated Akron and Buffalo this past weekend. The Redhawks are a perfect 4-0 on the road so far this season. Look for Miami to shoot frequently as they have outnumbered their opponents 176-88 in shot attempts.
All-Time Series: Kent State is 6-8-1 all time against the Redhawks. Miami, who posted a 2-1 victory over the Golden Flashes in 2011, is looking to win at Zoeller Field for the second time in as many years when they face off on Sunday.
