Senior volleyball middle blocker Kathy Krupa (Burbank, Ill.) has been named Kent State Student-Athlete of the Week.
Krupa recorded team-highs in points (20), kills (16), hitting percentage (.542), and aces (3), all personal bests on the season, to help the Golden Flashes defeat Miami, 3-2 (19-25, 25-23, 15-25, 25-13, 15-7), in their 2012 Mid-American Conference opener Friday (Sept. 21) in Oxford, Ohio.
Kent State (4-10, 1-1 MAC) continues its six-match road stretch when it visits Ohio Thursday (Sept. 27) for a 7 p.m. match.
