Four Gymnasts Sign NLIs to join Golden Flashes in 2014

KENT, Ohio - Kent State University gymnastics coach Brice Biggin announced the signing of four gymnasts to National Letters of Intent. Alexandra
Marrero, Michaela Romito, Rachel Stypinski and Brooke Timko will join the Golden Flashes in the fall of 2014.
Romito, a member of Gymnastics World in Broadview Heights, Ohio, was a three-time Level 10 Region 5 Qualifier.
Stypinski, a member of Silvia's Gymnastics in Zieglersville, Pa., was a four-time qualifier to the Junior Olympic National Championships. Stypinski recently finished 11th in the all-around at the 2013 JO National Championship and in 2009 she qualified to the Junior Olympic NIT meet where she finished third in the all-around.
Timko is a member of Olympic Dreams Gymnastics in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a two-time qualifier to the JuniorOlympic National Championships (2011, 2013) and qualified to the 2012 Junior Olympic NIT Meet where she finished sixth in the all-around and was the national runner-up on uneven bars. In 2013, Timko was the uneven bar champion at the Legacy Elite Winter Classic, placed second in the all-around at the I.G.I Chicago Style Invitational, Buckeye Classic and Ohio State Championships.
